McLaren 720S | Cars
McLaren is best known as a Formual One Constructor, the second oldest active team and the second most successful Formula One team after Ferrari. Founded in 1963 by New Zealander Bruce McLaren, the team and the cars have genuine motorsport heritage.
After Bruce McLaren died in a testing accident in 1970, Teddy Mayer took over and led the team to their first Formula One Constructors' Championship in 1974, with Emerson Fittipaldi and James Hunt winning the Drivers' Championship in 1974 and 1976 respectively. A host of the most famous and most successful drivers have driven for McLaren over the years.
Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, and Ayrton Senna won seven Drivers' Championships between them. Mika Hakkinen won two back to back F1 Championships for the team in 1998 and 1999 and during the 2000s the team were consistent front-runners, with driver Lewis Hamilton, the most successful driver of all time taking the teams last championship in 2008.
Given the fact of McLarens success on the race circuits, the same could be for their road car line up, producing one of the most successful and Iconic cars that the world has ever seen, the McLaren F1. Now to bring us back to the present day.
The 720S is simply just another level.
This doesn’t have the P1’s hybrid drive system but somehow manages to be, as near as makes no difference, just as fast. Let me put that in figures. A P1 will do the standing quarter-mile in 10.2 seconds. And the 720S? You’ll need 10.4 seconds. That’s not a big gap.
And in the corners you’ll make up for that lost fraction, which means that round a track the straightforward dinosaur will be quicker than the rainbow warrior.

Rob HuelinBought the experience for both my son (age 10) and his dad as a joint Christmas present. Booked a local venue (Blyton Park) and attended today. What a great day they have had! Despite it turning out that my son was just not quite tall enough to drive the McLaren, the staff didn't make a fuss, took him for a passenger ride and arranged another car he could drive...which he loved. All the staff we came across were brilliant... particularly the guys that drove with my son. Liked the fact that you could pay to add more to the experience if you wanted (which we did), but never felt pressured that we had to. We will be rebooking!

Valeria BotaBrilliant day! Took my 10 year old to use his birthday voucher. Unfortunately, one of the cars we'd booked wasn't available but they had loads of other fantastic cars to choose from and actually ended with a better one! They also had some availability left on on day so booked myself in too. It was a busy day but all the staff were fab and kept everything moving along nicely. The staff were fantastic, the check-in team, co-ordinators, instructors and photo team. Massive shout out to Magoo, who made the day for both of us, fun and chatty but super professional. Clear that he knew his stuff and I really felt I got the most of of my time in the car due to his knowledge - and damn that McLaren 720s moves and will put a smile on anyones face! Also put my mind at ease knowing that he was the one taking my 10yr old out in the same car. Thank you for a great day! x
