The 1959 Cadilliac De Ville is remembered for its huge sharp tailfins with dual bullet tail lights, two distinctive rooflines and roof pillar configurations, new jewel-like grille patterns and matching deck lid beauty panels. It was futuristic, different, the complete opposite of refined and understated! With pre-1980s American cars, interior space is nowhere near as generous as the huge outside dimensions of the Caddy. Mind you, this battleship is a mind-boggling 225 inches long and 80.2 inches wide. Still, there is adequate space behind the steering wheel and the one-piece front bench seat feels really comfortable.
This epic car has been in films such as 'Wise Guys', 'Walk Like a Man', '3000 miles to Graceland' and of course 'Pink Cadillac' but what we all agree on, is that it is one of the most recognisable cars of the last 60 years and everyone would love to take a ride down to Hollywood in one of these!
